Note: This article is for correcting errors that affected one student in an achievement. To learn more about correcting an error in every student's story, go here.
If the text in one student's Merit story was incorrect (most likely due to bad spreadsheet data), you can edit the online version of the story shown on their Merit page. Start by going to the Students section of your Merit account.
From the Students page, type the student's name into the search tool and click Search.
When you find the correct student, click on their name to see a list of all the achievements they've earned:
Clicking "Edit" will open up a lightbox with the student's achievement:
Click the Update Story button when you're finished making changes.
Need to resend a copy of this release, after you edited the story?
No problem. Take note of the listing of newspapers on the right side of the lightbox, and simply copy your edited release into your own email, and send it off! We advise you include a **NOTICE** paragraph, to be sure the receiver knows this is an updated version.
