Depending upon the original error you may need to make changes in three potential places:
- The achievement title or summary
- Student achievements on Merit
- Press releases sent to the media
For errors in the Achievement Title/Summary:
To correct one of these basic errors, just go to the "What kind of achievement is this?" section and make the necessary changes in the corresponding text box.
For errors in the stories shown on student Merit pages:
To correct an error that appeared on every student's Merit page, simply scroll to the "Write a story about this achievement" section and make the necessary changes. If you don't need to update the media/press release version of your story, continue to the "Preview your edits" button to follow the remaining steps for re-publishing the revised version of your achievement.
For errors in the press releases sent to the media:
If your error affected press releases that were sent to hometown newspapers, while editing be sure to check the "Send to hometown newspapers" box in the Distribution Channels section. Then check the box to "Also redeliver press releases..." to notify all of the newspapers who saw the original story.
After making the necessary changes to your press releases, click Preview Your Edits and follow the remaining steps for publishing your achievement.
