How welcome emails work:
- If you're brand new to Merit and starting out with a Student Import, all of your students will receive a welcome email shortly after you've finished importing them.
- If you've been using Merit for while, then any students on your list who are new to Merit will automatically receive a welcome email when they are part of an achievement or student import.
Note: Students' first interaction with Merit will always be a welcome email. If a new student is part of an achievement, their welcome email will immediately be followed by their personal achievement email.
Merit provides you with a default welcome email. Here's an example of Merit's default email template:
The text of this email can be viewed and altered from the Settings/Email tab inside your account. If you plan to use a personalized message you will want to customize this language prior to publishing your achievement or student import. For more about changing this text, go here.
