Student Engagement

The Student Engagement page in Merit gives you visibility, insight, and analysis into how students and stakeholders engage with your achievements. To see this information, click on the Students tab and then on Engagement:

The engagement page is broken up into separate tabs for Student Activity and Social Media. You can navigate between the two tabs using the buttons in the top right corner of your screen:

Use the date range selector to choose a start and end date for your engagement statistics on either tab:

Student Activity

The Student Activity tab offers statistics about how your students are interacting with Merit. You will see a graph with your cumulative stories and and page views over the chosen period as well as some additional stats, including: 

  • Student Stories - The total number of personalized stories (4,339) you added to student pages
  • Page Views - The total number of page views (44,780) for your student stories
  • First Time Logins - The number of students (696) who logged into Merit for the first time
  • Merit Page Changes - The number of changes (415) your students made to their Merit pages. You can click the box to see a list of these changes 
  • Student Open Rate - The email open rate (94%) of your notifications sent to students. Click the box to also see students' click-through rates 
  • Parent Open Rate - The email open rate (80%) of your notifications sent to parents. Click the box to also see parents' click-through rates

Social Media

Screen_Shot_2023-04-04_at_4.53.13_PM.pngThe Student Activity tab offers statistics about how your students are sharing their Merit achievements on their social networks. You will see a graph with your cumulative actions and impressions over the chosen period as well as some additional stats, including: 

  • Shares - The total number (23,111) of reported shares, likes and comments across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and email
  • Impressions - The estimated number of times (6,162,930) your stories have been viewed across Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Click the box to see the estimates from each individual source
  • Facebook - The number of times (22,893) your stories were liked, shared, clicked and commented on in Facebook. Click the box to the numbers for each category
  • LinkedIn - The number of times (62) your stories were shared on LinkedIn
  • Twitter - The number of times (33) your stories were shared on Twitter
  • Other - The number of times (123) your stories were shared by email or other social sites
