Your Newsroom engagement report summarizes the performance of your press release and provides details about who received the story. Here's an description of the data you will find on this report:
Press Release Summary
The summary section will provide some basic information about your story and easy access to some possible next steps. Click the press release headline to view your story in your school's Merit news feed. This top card will also include buttons for the following actions:
- Pin - Pin this press release to the top of your institution's Merit Newsroom press release feed
- Copy - Create a copy of this press release to use as a template for a new story
- Remove Online - Remove this press release from your institution's Merit Newsroom press release feed
- Correction - Fix a mistake in the body of your story
The column on the right includes the name of the landing page your story used (Homepage) and the distribution lists your story was sent to (Capital District Media List, MU Contacts).
Recipients
The Recipients section provides information about who your story was sent to. Here's a summary of the stats you'll see here:
- Emails - The total number of press release emails (52) delivered to the contacts in your chosen distribution lists. These contacts can be from either Merit's media database or your list of personal contacts
- Open Rate - The percentage of recipients (52%) who opened your Newsroom press release emails
- Click-To-Open - The percent of recipients (25%) who clicked links in your press release emails as related to the total number who opened it. Note: Merit provides all of the necessary information in the body of every media email. Click-to-open rates represent recipients opening links/images included in the email.
Please note that the above analytics will only include data about your personal contacts who have been saved in Merit and included in you chosen distribution list(s).
Here you will also see a list of each person who received your press release. Click on the name of the organization to view their card on Merit's Network tab. This will allow you to view the contact information for each organization.
