Hometown Newspaper Missing for Student

Here you will learn what to do if a student's story was not sent to their hometown newspaper. 

Start by looking up the student on the Students tab. Use the Search box to locate the student and then click on their card:

You will then see an overview of the student's Merit page, including a list of all of their achievements and activities. Click on the title of the achievement you'd like to view:

This will open up a lightbox with the text of their individual online story and a list of their relevant contacts in Merit

Review the media contacts on the right side of the screen. These are the local newspapers and online publications that cover your student's zip code:

Note: If you updated the student's zip code after publishing your story, this list will represent the papers covering their new zip code and NOT necessarily the ones who received your press releases. 

 

Click the Report a Problem button to alert Merit about a possible problem with a newspaper or zip code:
