Mentions lets you view online news articles about your institution and students. You'll see all of these stories from news outlets in your Mentions Inbox. Learn more about your Mentions Inbox.
You can click on any Mentions that have been discovered to see more information and view the online story, or the icons on the right to take a quick action:
Here's a summary of each of these options:
| Delete - Move the chosen Mentions discovery from your Inbox to your Trash Folder | |
| Save - Move the chosen Mentions discovery from your Inbox to your Saved Folder | |
| Share - Email a colleague a link to this online story | |
| Tag - Add one of your saved tags to this Mentions discovery, or create a new tag for it |
Clicking on the story will open up a preview window for the Mentions discovery:
This page will display information about the Mention discovered through Merit, including the keywords that helped identify the story and the people included in it. Any students identified in the story will be highlighted:
When a student is identified, you can add a link to this mention to the student's Merit page. Click the + Post to Merit page button to share the story an notify the student:
In the top right corner of the page, you will see some information about the source of the article. This box includes a link to the online story, the estimated daily visitors and page views for the host website and the AEV (value of the media coverage) the story generated:
