Your institution has a branded Merit page which you can customize to use your school's colors, images and description. This page will house all of the achievements and Newsroom press releases you publish through Merit:
You can customize the various parts of this page by going to the Branding section under the Settings tab inside your account. Here's a description of each customizable part:
Main Color
Your institution's Merit page will has a banner across the top, with the name of your university (in either black or white text). You can change the color of this banner at any time by scrolling down to the Main Color block on the right side of the page:
Pro Tip: Here you can either use the grid tool to select a color, or insert the six character hex code for your institution's primary color.
Background Image
Below the banner of your Merit page is your institution's background. To customize this image, scroll down to the Background Image block on the right side of the screen and can click the Select Background Image button to locate and upload a file from your computer:
Note: Your background image should be between 2200w x 1800h and 1366w x 768h.
If you need to change a previously added image, click the Remove Background button to delete it from your page and upload a new image.
Profile Logo
Centered over top of your background is your institution's profile logo. To customize this image, scroll down to the Profile Logo block on the right side of the screen and click the Select Profile Image button to locate and upload a file from your computer:
Note: This image should be a square between 280 and 400 pixels wide.
If you need to change a previously added image, click the Remove Profile button to delete it from your page and upload a new image.
Pro Tip: You can use a .png image with a transparent background to have your logo overlay your background seamlessly (as pictured above), or choose a .jpg image with a white/color background to place the logo in a square box.
About Your College
Centered below your profile logo is a blurb about your institution. To customize this paragraph of text, scroll down to the About Your College block on the right side of the screen and edit the text featured on your Merit page:
Pro Tip: Aim to keep the About Your College paragraph around 400 characters in length. You can have more or less if needed, but you'll always see the number of characters you've used in the lower right-hand corner of this box.
Keywords
Lastly, use the Keywords section to ensure that people who are searching for your school on Meritpages.com can find you. You may use as many keywords as needed:
Preview & Publish
Once you've updated all of the images, colors and text on your Merit page, click Preview & Publish to see what your page will look like. While previewing the page, you will see a yellow bar at the top of the preview pane. Click Publish to make this version of your page public, or Go Back to return to the previous screen and make additional changes:
Social Media URLs
Below the "about your college" blurb on your institution's Merit page is a section with links to your students, stories and Newsroom press releases. Here you will also see a list of your school's social media links. You can use Merit to drive traffic to these sites by entering the links in the Social Media URLs box in the bottom left corner of this screen. Click Update after adding your links:
