Here you will find step-by-step instructions for publishing achievements in Merit.
In Step 1 of Merit's achievement workflow, you will configure your achievement's landing page - the public version of your story that will be visible to everyone who views it online.
To get started, click on the New Achievement button under the Tasks section on your Merit dashboard or the Achievements tab inside your account:
OR
Write a Title
When your achievement appears online, your story's title will be one of the very first things your audience sees. Begin your achievement by entering text in the Achievement Title box:
Write a Summary
Your story's summary will immediately follow your title. It will serve as a general overview of the achievement. Enter a paragraph or two of introductory text in the Achievement Summary box:
Select an Achievement Type
After crafting your title and summary, select a topic for your achievement. Use the dropdown box to choose one of the available achievement types. If the category you choose has an active certificate, Merit will automatically generate certificates for them:
Note: Use Achievement (Other) if your story doesn't match up to one of the available topics.
Select a Certificate (Optional)
If the category you chose has a certificate available in Merit, you’ll have the ability to include it with your achievement. When you select a category that has a certificate you’ll immediately see a new drop-down box appear:
Use the dropdown box to choose one of your available certificates. You’ll see a thumbnail of your chosen certificate on the right side of the screen. Click it to see an example of what your certificate looks like without any customization.
Pro Tip: Your default certificate will be auto-selected for you, but you can select a different one if needed, or choose the No certificate option to skip certificates for this achievement. Learn more about using certificates.
Select a Semester
Next, use the dropdown boxes to set the semester for your achievement. The date will default to the present semester, but you can back-date your achievement or choose a semester in the future:
Set a Reply-To Address (Optional)
If you have more than one reply-to address available in your settings, you can choose the one you'd like to use for this story:
Select a Landing Page
By default, all of your web traffic for this achievement will be directed to your institution's Merit page. Here you can instead direct all of this traffic to your website. Use the dropdown box to select one of your active landing pages: LINK
